Elizabeth “Liz” Carr Dell’Accio, age 71, of Little Elm, Texas, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022. She was born March 26, 1951, in The Bronx, New York, to Margaret and William Patrick Carr. Liz obtained her bachelor’s degree from Mercy College in Psychology in 1973. She married the love of her life, William Peter Dell’Accio, in The Bronx on April 28, 1974, and they were blessed with two sons. Liz was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, friend and “second mom” to many. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
Liz volunteered her time to many activities in support of her family. Among these were serving as President of the Country Place Elementary PTA, Board Member of Carrollton-Farmers Branch Soccer Association, and President of the R.L. Turner Football Quarterback Club.
Professionally, she worked in various aspects of the travel Industry as a travel agent and for the Hilton Hotels’ Reservation Center in Carrollton, TX.
Liz is survived by her beloved husband, Bill Dell’Accio; her sons, Gregory Dell’Accio and his wife, Renee, of Frisco and Christopher Dell’Accio and his wife, Miranda, of Frisco; her grandchildren, Ray, Peter, Abigail, and Benjamin; and her niece, Catherine Krug.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and William Carr, and her sisters, Margaret Russel and Patricia Simonds.
A brief prayer service will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow, 8520 Main Street, Frisco, Texas, on Friday, August 12, 2022, at 5:00 p.m., officiated by Father Tony O’Donovan. The visitation will follow the service from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
