Elizabeth Ann Anstedt, age 76, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2024 in Celina, TX. Beth was born on July 9, 1948, in Flint, MI to parents Benjamin and Gertrude Meyer (née Eichinger). Beth graduated from Thurston High School in Redford, MI and furthered her education at Morris County College where she achieved an associate degree. Beth held various administrative and data management positions, notably in insurance, club membership, and church administration.
Beth was a passionate quilter, dedicating much of her free time to creating and gifting quilts of all sizes to friends and relatives. Her beautiful quilts, known for their intricate designs and warmth, will be cherished by many for years to come.
She is survived by her spouse of 56 years, John P. Anstedt; sons, Matthew J. Anstedt (spouse Jessica) of Port Saint Lucie, FL and Timothy Anstedt (spouse Naomi) of McKinney, TX; and beloved grandchildren, Alexander, Amelia, and Warren. Also surviving are sister, Patricia Richards of Fowlerville, MI; brothers, Andrew Meyer and wife, Betsy of Howell, MI, Benjamin Meyer and wife, Carole of Brighton, MI, and John Meyer and wife, Sylvia of Houghton Lake, MI.
Beth was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Earl Richards.
Beth’s life was marked by her devotion to her family, her passion for quilting and baking, and her love of Jesus Christ. She was selfless with her time and always thinking of what more she could do for others. Beth will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, love of family, and the cheer she spread through her gifted quilts.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 6, 2024 at Prosper United Methodist Church, 1801 Lanier Way, Prosper, Texas, 75078. Interment will follow at Ridgeview West Memorial Park, 7800 Sanctuary Drive, Frisco, Texas, 75033. The family will receive friends during a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., at the church.
