IN LOVING MEMORY

Elijah Methvin

Jun 06 1988 - Jul 09 2021

Elijah Sirius Methvin, age 33, of Addison Texas, passed away on July 9, 2021.  He was born on June 6, 1988 to parents Gary and Mary (Ames) Methvin.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gary and grandmother, Dianna.

Since childhood, Eli had the personality of a lifetime. He had an endless well of love for life and shared that in every way he could. Eli was smart and learned to read at a very young age. He was a gifted artist, and an amazing performer. He could sing anything, and his artwork is treasured by those lucky enough to have it. He loved to travel and was fortunate to visit many places in his life.

Eli worked for Chewy as a call center trainer. He loved his work family and was so happy to have found an environment where his leadership skills and zest for life were appreciated. His precious, unique personality was accepted there with open arms.

He is leaving behind his beloved Sam Alexander, whom he loved more than anything. He's leaving behind all of the friends he motivated and inspired. He's leaving his family, both chosen and blood, who all will say his smile could lift the mood of any situation.

Eli was a natural born leader and always knew what to say. He accepted everyone for who they were. His love knew no bounds, and if you were his friend, you were his friend for life. People and animals were naturally drawn to him.

He adored his mother and looked after his younger brother, Troy from the moment he was born. When little Christopher was born in 2018, Eli became the greatest uncle of all time.

When he met his best friend Astrid, he did everything he could to make her feel welcomed. And when he met his fiancé, Sam, his life changed. Together Sam and Eli built a love that could only be described as perfect.

Eli is survived by his mother, Mary Methvin; brother, Troy Methvin (wife Shannon); fiancé, Sam Alexander; nephew, Christopher Methvin; grandfather, Gordon Methvin (wife Jo Methvin) and a multitude of other loving family and friends. We will miss you so much.
