Eleanor Patricia Beverly, affectionately known as “Ms. Pat” to children and adults alike, went home to be with the Lord on April 23, 2025. She was born on August 20, 1947 in Ancón Canal Zone, Panama, where she ultimately met and married the love of her life, Frank Beverly. Once back here in the United States, they had two children: Kimberly and Kevin.
Ms. Pat was a beacon of light whose life was dedicated to nurturing and celebrating children. Her passion for children was not just a profession but was a profound ministry. In 1990, she left behind a career in corporate America to bravely pursue her dream and started All Our Children Learning Center (AOC) in Richardson, Texas. This became her sanctuary of sorts, a place where she could connect with and uplift young souls to help them flourish. Also, her family home on Scarlet Oak Drive regularly hosted children who attended AOC for an evening, a weekend, or more.
More than just a childcare provider, Ms. Pat was often a guiding force for the parents whose children graced the halls of her learning center, as well as for many of her employees. Drawing on her rich life experiences, she became a trusted mentor and friend, offering wisdom, support, and boundless love.
To Ms. Pat, every child was royalty. She possessed a marvelous gift for recognizing and celebrating the unique talents and accomplishments of each child entrusted to her care. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and her genuine joy in their growth fostered an environment where children felt seen, valued, and even empowered.
Known for her directness and unwavering commitment to the truth, her “no-nonsense” approach was always rooted in love and a desire to see those around her thrive. Her overflowing affection for children was palpable, and in return, she was deeply loved by all who knew her.
Ms. Pat’s legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched, the seeds of confidence and joy she planted, and the enduring impact of her unwavering belief in the potential of every child. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the many children and families whose lives she enriched.
