Elaine Ann Devold Harris Hill Hofman

Elaine Hofmann passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at her home in Savannah, Texas. She was 80 years young. She was born July 13, 1943, to Albert Jerome and Eleanor Loyson Devold. She was the youngest of two daughters.

During Elaines’ life here with us she traveled several successful career paths that took her to some amazing places. She was an Osteopathic Hospital Lab Tech in Michigan, manager of a Plasmapheresis Center in Ohio, owned a floral shop in Texas and made the flower arrangements for the hit TV show Dallas. She also managed hotels in places like Colorado, Texas, New Mexico, Massachusetts, and was also a Sales Supervisor for American Armed Forces Service in Erlangen Germany as well as a Director of Sales for four hotels remotely. 

She is survived by her sister, Ellen May; her beloved dog, Buddy; and her children, Jennifer (Ryan) Kroon, Ronald (Babette) Harris, Laura Harris, Beverly (Brad) Witt, Elizabeth (Mark) Pacheco, and Connie (Luke) Apps, Andrew Hofmann JR, Michael Hofmann, Cathy Hofmann. She was the proud grandmother to 18 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews that loved her. 

She is preceded in death by her parents Albert Jerome and Elenor Loyson Devold and her husband Andrew M. Hofmann.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate the life of Elaine A. Hofmann at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 30, 2023, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home,  2525 North Central Expressway Allen, TX 75013. The service will also be live streamed at https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/elaine-ann-devold-harris-hill-hofman.  After the service, the recorded livestream will be available at the same link location.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Elaines name to Boy Scout Troop 366 Denton, TX. Elaine and Andy loved the example of service and patriotism of their son-in-law who is the Scout Master of Troop 366 and their grandson who earned his Eagle Scout from Troop 366.
