Edwina Watkins Logan passed away peacefully from this earth at The Colonial Lodge Assisted Living in Terrell, Texas on February 13, 2016. Edwina was born in Nevada, Texas to Jefferson and Jennie Watkins on June 22nd, 1925. Edwina was proceeded in death by her husband; Harl T. Logan, parents; Jefferson and Jennie Watkins, two brothers; Odelle Watkins and Ed Watkins, two sisters; Dyle Watkins Martin and Reba Watkins Moore.
Edwina was a kind woman with a great sense of humor and loved by all who knew her. Edwina graduated from High School and attended East Texas Teachers College in Commerce, Texas. She took a job as a teacher and was happy she taught some children to read. She married Harl Thomas Logan on June 15, 1945 and they had 65 years together before his passing in 2010. During their life together they owned and developed real estate as well as owning and operating motels. They spent time in New Mexico, California, Arkansas and Missouri, eventually retiring to Texas.
Edwina is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, one sister-in law and one brother-in-law.
A private cremation burial for both Harl and Edwina to be held at a later date.
