Edward Eugene Schauer passed away March 9, 2022, in McKinney, Texas, at 63. On January 15, 1959, he was born to Glenn Alan and Delores Aline (Webb) Schauer in San Bernardino, California. Ed married Judy Renea Smith on November 24, 1995, in Frisco, Texas.
He co-owned the 145 FAA Repair Station for 14 years and was very involved in the aero business for 32 years. Ed was also active in the Preston Bend Bunch (Lake Family).
He is survived by his wife, Judy Schauer of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Christi Bonkiewicz and husband, Dan of Frisco, Texas; Son, Broox Nevil and his wife, Marty of Celina, Texas; daughter, Stephanie Schauer of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Casey Schauer of Justin, Texas; grandchild, Caitlin Lewis and husband, Westin; grandchild, Bailee Bonkiewicz of Frisco, Texas; grandchild, Parker Bonkiewicz of Frisco, Texas; grandchild, Micah Nevil of Celina, Texas; grandchild, Allie Gardner of McKinney, Texas; grandchild, Cheyenne Gardner of McKinney, Texas; grandchild, Kinley Atterbury of Justin, Texas; grandchild, River Nevil of Celina, Texas; great-grandchild, Ava Lewis, great-grandson on the way- Baby Lewis; mother, Delores Schauer of Schertz, Texas; sister, Glenna Lagana, and husband, Bob of Schertz, Texas; brother, Darryl Schauer and wife, Marilyn of Schertz, Texas; brother, Ty Schauer and wife, Tammy of Cibolo, Texas, and many other special and close relatives.
Ed was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Schauer.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends for a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the Preston Bend Cemetery in Pottsboro, Texas.
