IN LOVING MEMORY

Edward Lee Perry, Jr.

Sep 04 1957 - Feb 25 2022

Edward Lee Perry, Jr. “Perry” of DeSoto, Texas passed away on February 25, 2022 at the age of 64. He was born on September 4, 1957 to Edward Lee and Victoria (Pritchett) Perry, Sr. in Dallas, Texas.  Perry graduated from Wilmer-Hutchins High School in 1975.  After graduating, he attended college before joining the United States Navy.  During Perry’s time with the Navy, he traveled to many different countries.  After his term of service, Perry joined the work force and worked for Alltel as a warehouse supervisor, later working for UNFI.  Friends and family always remember his mastery and antics on the forklift.  Perry’s illness kept him from work as much as he’d like.  He met his wife, Katrina in 1997 and they have been together ever since.  Perry was a man with a big heart and when he had a plan, he would always see it through to the end.  Being always an old-fashioned man, Perry was firm in his beliefs, and they were just.  His love for his wife, and grandkids will never be matched.  He loved them with all his heart.  Perry provided all he could to his wife and more than they could ask for to his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife Katrina Jeanette Perry of DeSoto, Texas; children, Tanyanitte Steele of Fort Worth, Texas, Edward Steele, Jr. of Dallas, Texas, and Anjanette Steele of Richardson, Texas; grandchildren, Wallace Edmond, Michael Dean, Camaree Morgan, Symiah Morgan, and Destyni Morgan; great grandchildren, Marcell Edmond and Caleb Edmond; mother, Victoria Perry of Dallas, Texas; brother, Andrew Perry of Dallas, Texas; sister, Janet Perry of Dallas, Texas; and numerous other loving family and friends.

Perry was preceded in death by his father Edward Lee Perry, Sr.; sisters, Sandra Perry and Karen Perry.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North in Allen.  The service will be livestreamed at https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/edward-lee-perry-jr.  After the service the recording will be available at the same link location.
