IN LOVING MEMORY

Edward Lee Robinson

May 04 1954 - Nov 30 2025

Edward Lee Robinson, age 71, passed away November 30, 2025, in McKinney, Texas.  He was born on May 4, 1954, in St. Louis, Missouri, to his loving parents Lewis Edward Robinson and Marcella D. Rose.

Edward grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he attended Grammar School #56, Middle School #26 and Crispus Attucks High School.

He proudly served in the United States Air Force, where he gained his mechanical skills and grew a deep desire to one day become a pilot.  His knack for repairing anything he touched followed him throughout life, making him a gifted handyman and earning him the affectionate nickname “Mr. Fixit.” Edward was an active member of the Naptown Riders motorcycle club and enjoyed the camaraderie and adventures it brought. In quieter moments, he found joy in reading and lifelong learning.  His heart belonged to Yahshua, whose teachings shaped his generous and gentle spirit.

In 1978, Edward met the love of his life, Debra Williams.  They separated for a number of years and were reunited in 2017 and they have been together ever since.

Edward is survived by his wife, Debra Williams, of Dallas, Texas; son, Gregory Knox; daughter, Angelique Robinson; grandchildren, Vaunteis Knox, Gregory Knox, Jr., Te’Vaun Knox, Gia Knox, and Destiny Robinson; sisters, Estella Wilson of Atlanta, Georgia, and Sharon Robinson of Los Angeles, California; and a host of extended family members and friends, who will miss him dearly and fondly cherish his memory.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents Marcella D. Long and Lewis Edward Robinson, his beloved step-mother Bessie Robinson, brother Richard Rose, and sister, Mary Francis Rose.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 1:15 p.m., Friday, December 19, 2025, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, Texas 75211.
