Mr. Edward Gibson Lane, age 68, of McKinney, Texas passed away January 8, 2007. He was born May 19, 1938, to Austin and Rene Jones Lane. On February 12, 1963, he married Linda Johnson in McKinney, Texas. Mr. Lane proudly served in the United States Marines. He worked for GTE for twenty-seven years, and most recently worked for Avail Medical Products for twelve years. He is survived by his wife, Linda Lane of McKinney, Texas; son, Kevin Lane of Knoxville, Tennesse; daughter, Melody Gravett and husband, Todd of Allen, Texas; mother, Rene Lane of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, LaTisa, Aleshia, Cody, Austin, Jaden and Dylan; brother, Tom Lane and wife, Marilyn of Georgetown, Texas; mother-in-law, Olga Johnson of McKinney, Texas and nine nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Austin Lane. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 11, 2007, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Pastor Bob Kelly officiating. Interment will follow at Pecan Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Wednesday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
