Edward Fuller

Celebrating the Life of Edward Fuller

Edward Fuller, affectionately known as “Fuller,” began his life’s journey on February 2, 1936, in Fitzgerald, Georgia to the union of the late Bertha Burgess and Warren Fuller. His life’s journey quietly ended on the morning of Sunday, October 11, 2026.

Edward graduated from Queensland High School and later matriculated from Fort Valley State University in Fort Valley, Georgia where he met his beloved wife. Edward migrated to Camden, New Jersey and united in holy matrimony to Rose M. Dixon on June 26, 1964.

Edward possessed the quiet gravity of a generous, thoughtful, and wise man who exemplified Colossians 3:23-24 (ESV), “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”

Known for his relentless work ethic and diligence, Edward earned several notable awards during his career. He retired after twenty-eight (28) years of service with the Naval Inventory Control Point in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and worked for Pep Boys in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Additionally, he retired from Andy’s Janitorial Services in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

As an active member of Ferry Avenue Methodist Church in Camden, New Jersey, Edward’s mantra of faith and service was unmistakably evident. He presided as chairman of the Trustee Board, oversaw facilities maintenance services, served as a devoted usher and was recognized for his unwavering commitment with the United Methodist Men.

Edward’s industriousness filtered into his leisure projects as well. Not only was he a mechanic who enjoyed rebuilding cars, but he also maintained the heart of a farmer. Before relocating to Allen, Texas, he grew marigolds and vegetables for his family and friends.

Edward is survived by his sister, Terrasee West of Danville, Virginia. He was a proud father to his daughters, Carmen (Clarence) Wilkins of Pennsauken, New Jersey and Tracey (James) Lagroom of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, and son Terrence (Michelle) Fuller of Allen, Texas. His cherished granddaughters, Michaela and Tiffany Fuller, along with a multitude of other relatives and friends, remain to treasure his memories and legacy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers (Lester, Samuel, Elmer and Leroy Fuller), two sisters (Lexie Odom and Annie B. Smith), son, Charles, and wife, Rose.

Though he will be deeply missed, his loved ones may now take comfort in knowing that he is now at rest in the presence of Christ, whom he faithfully followed during his life’s journey.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 23, 2026, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Following the funeral, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service.

The family will receive guests during a visitation on Friday morning beginning at 9:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Those wishing to share their condolences may send cards to 14605 Elm Street, #2891, Upper Marlboro, MD 20773. Your kind thoughts and heartfelt messages are deeply appreciated during this difficult time.
