Edward Melvin Ballenger, Sr.

Edward Melvin Ballenger, Sr. age 73, of McKinney, Texas passed away on November 26, 2008. He was born on October 10, 1935 , in West, Texas to Everett M. Ballenger and Mamie Elizabeth Mosley. On September 11, 1954, he married Jo Ann Darlene Weaver in Rockwall, Texas. He worked as a Field Service Supervisor in the Food Machinery industry and was a member of the Central Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Ballenger of McKinney, Texas; sons, Edward Melvin Ballenger, Jr. and wife Kathy of The Colony, Texas; Kenneth Wayne Ballenger and wife Jennifer and Danny Keith Ballenger and wife Patti all of Princeton, Texas; ten grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Alfred Ballenger and wife Frankie of Sherman, Texas; sisters, Billie Jean Lewis and husband Randolph of McKinney, Texas and Linda Lane also of McKinney, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Ernestine Hammonds and Wanda Bradley. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, November 30, 2008 in the Chapel at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, with Rev. Julie Lorentz officiating. Entombment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.

Ed was a very good man. Will always remember when he brought his entire family to visit my family in Vista, California. Ever yone had such a great time.
