Edward Anthony Johnson celebrated his reunion with his boys, Oliver and Ivan Anthony, and his father, Clyde Taylor Johnson, Jr., in their Heavenly Home on Friday, August 1, 2025. Ed shared a goodnight kiss with his wife, Leslie, and passed into peace at home.
Ed, or Eddie, as his childhood friends and family affectionately call him, was born October 14, 1962, and was known for his sense of humor, his way with animals, his peaceful demeanor, and his love for and ability to make music. He was considered a best friend to friends and family alike, including Leslie.
Many will miss him until we see him again, including his wife, Leslie Johnson, mother Martha Sue Johnson, brother Taylor Johnson, sister and brother-in-law Laura and Phillip Crocker, mother-in-law and husband Joann and Larry Ferguson, father-in-law Lloyd Shugart, sister-in-law Sherri and brother-in-law Brett Neumann, nephew and nieces Samuel, Emilie, Jazelyn, Alexia, Kassandra and Ayron as well as numerous great nieces, nephews and many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm, September 6, 2025, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 2708 W. Virginia Parkway, McKinney, Texas. A reception will be provided at the church following the service.
In lieu of flowers, you would honor Ed by sending a donation to your local animal rescue, church, or other charitable organization.
