Edna Fay Renfro Morris

Edna Fay (Renfro) Morris of Winnsboro, Texas went to be with the Lord on March 7, 2019 at the age of 90.  She was born on December 6, 1928 to Edgar Lee and Magalene Mildred (Noblitt) Renfro in McKinney, Texas.  Edna married Otis Watson Morris on January 27, 1956 in McKinney, Texas. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in McKinney as an operator for 13 years and later worked for Fisher Controls in McKinney where she retired in 1992 after 26 years.  In December 2007, Edna and Otis moved to the family property in Winnsboro, Texas to be close to their son and his family.  She enjoyed working outside in her flowerbeds, working on genealogy, doing artwork and writing poems. Edna was a member of Hillcrest Christian Church in McKinney, Texas.

She leaves behind her son, Paul Morris and wife, Tammy; grandson, Brandon Morris and wife, Jennifer; granddaughter, Kaylon Thornburgh and husband, Terry all of Winnsboro, Texas; four great-grandsons, Adrian Thornburgh, Brayson Thornburgh, Matthew Morris and Emery Morris also of Winnsboro, Texas; sister, Mildred Angus of Garland, Texas; brothers, Edgar Renfro and wife, Betty of McKinney, Texas, Charles Renfro and wife, Judy of Cash, Texas and Billy Renfro of Garland, Texas; sisters-in-law, Mary R. Welch of McKinney, Texas and Helen Calverley of Princeton, Texas; brother-in-law, Frank Morris and wife, Patsy of McKinney, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews as well as numerous family and friends.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Morris; her parents, Edgar and Magalene Renfro; and her sister, Ruth Renfro.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.  Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.  The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
