Edith Marie Jenkins

Edith Marie Jenkins of McKinney, Texas passed away on June 6, 2020 at the age of 91. She was born in Lorezo, Texas.  Edith graduated from Blair, Oklahoma.  She married J.W. Jenkins on December 15, 1950 in Altus, Oklahoma.  Edith retired from McKinney Independent Schools as a cafeteria cashier.  She was a member of Waddill Street Baptist Church in McKinney Texas.

Edith is survived by her daughter, Linda Young and husband, Rooster of Leonard, Texas; son, Billy Jenkins and wife, Janet of Arlington, Texas; granddaughter, Jodi Barnes and husband, Craig of Tolar, Texas; grandson, Chris Price and wife, Rebecca of Granbury, Texas; step grandson, Monty Young and wife, Courtney of Lampasas, Texas; grandson, Jayce Jenkins of Arlington, Texas; grandson, Jared Jenkins of Arlington, Texas; five great grandchildren, Brynlee Barnes, Colten Barnes, Conley J Price, Sutton Young and Whitley Young; and many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Jenkins and many other family members.

Thank you to Stonefield Assisted Living in McKinney, Texas and Seven Oaks Nursing Home in Bonham and Heart to Heart Hospice for the wonderful care.

In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, the following are Ridgeview Memorial Parks guidelines. All are invited to attend the Graveside Service, by standing at a minimum distance of 20 feet from the tent and 6 feet apart from one another to comply with social distancing directives or you may remain in your vehicle. You will be able to listen to the service through speakers set up at the gravesite.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas.
