Edith Bertha Johnson was born April 13, 1906 in Izard County, Arkansas the daughter of Isaac Holman Johnson and Bertha Myrtle Tolleson Johnson. She passed away at the Mullican Care Center in Savoy on April 9, 2008.Funeral Services will be held April 11, 2008 at 11:00am at the Earnheart Chapel in Whitewright with a Graveside Service being held at 2:00pm at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Glenn Murphy. She was a member of the West Shady Grove Baptist Church. She served as the Church secretary for a number of years, and was active in WMU. She loved the outdoors and loved to garden. She loved to sing. A group would get together and go to all the local singings. She was generous in helping others. She is survived by one sister, Theresa Taylor and husband Allen of Trenton; brother, Chester Johnson and wife Dorothy of McKinney; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 2 brothers. A visitation will be held Thursday, April 10, 2008 from 6-7pm at the Earnheart Funeral Home in Whitewright. Memorials may be made to Hospice or to your favorite charity.
