Edgar Alexis Quevedo Brito of McKinney, Texas passed away on February 16, 2026 at the age of 51. He was born to Eustoquio Quevedo and Antonina Iolanda Brito on August 1, 1974 in Caracas, Venezuela.
The love Edgar gave and the impact he made will last forever. He was the most devoted and loving father to his two daughters, Sophia and Sarah. They were his greatest joy, his proudest accomplishment, and the center of his world. He showed them every day what unconditional love looks like through laughter, guidance, protection, and endless encouragement.
He was a devoted and faithful husband to his beloved wife, Yoany, his partner and best friend. Their bond was built on love, respect, and unwavering support. Together, they created a beautiful life filled with memories that will be cherished always. Their marriage and love was truly like the movies…pure, strong, and inspiring.
Edgar lived life fully, with a spirit that drew people in and a presence that made every moment brighter. He loved all things sports, especially cheering for the Tiburones de la Guaira and the Dallas Cowboys, and he threw himself into everything with his whole heart. Whether it was a game on TV, a backyard gathering, or a spontaneous outing, Edgar was always 100% in. Fully engaged, fully present, and fully himself. Some of his happiest times were spent on patios, traveling with his family, visiting friends, sharing laughter late into the night, or relaxing at home by the pool with his beloved dog, Nala, never far from his side.
He had a gift for making people feel welcome and included. Friends and family knew that when Edgar was around, life felt lighter, laughter came easier, and the moments felt richer. He treasured simple joys: a cold drink on a warm afternoon, a backyard barbecue with friends, being surrounded by those he cared about, or simply watching the sun set over the pool with his wife, Yoany by his side.
As a son, Edgar was a source of pride and strength to his parents, Eustoquio and Antonina. As a brother and uncle, he was steady, caring, and always present. He was someone you could count on without hesitation. His family meant everything to him.
While we grieve the years we will not have with him, we hold tightly to the memories he gave us: the smiles, the lessons, the hugs, and the moments that now mean even more. His legacy lives on in his daughters, his wife, his family, and in the countless lives he changed simply by being himself.

Edgar is survived by his wife, Yoany Borrero of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Sophia Quevedo; daughter, Sarah Quevado; parents, Eustoquio and Iolanda Quevedo; brother, Edward Quevedo; and sister, Ancris Quevedo.

El amor que Edgar entregó y el impacto que dejó perdurarán para siempre. Fue el padre más dedicado y amoroso para sus dos hijas, Sophia y Sarah. Ellas fueron su mayor alegría, su orgullo más grande y el centro de su mundo. Les enseñó cada día lo que significa el amor incondicional a través de risas, guía, protección y apoyo constante.
Edgar fue un esposo fiel y devoto para su amada esposa, Yoany, su compañera de vida y mejor amiga. Su relación estuvo construida sobre amor, respeto y apoyo incondicional. Tenía el don de hacer que todos se sintieran bienvenidos e incluidos. Amigos y familiares sabían que cuando Edgar estaba presente, la vida se sentía más ligera, las risas eran más fáciles y los momentos más especiales. Disfrutaba de las cosas sencillas: una bebida fría en una tarde cálida, una parrillada con amigos, estar rodeado de quienes amaba o simplemente ver el atardecer junto a la piscina con su esposa Yoany a su lado.
Como hijo, Edgar fue motivo de orgullo y fortaleza para sus padres, Eustoquio y Antonina. Como hermano y tío, fue firme, cariñoso y siempre presente; alguien en quien se podía confiar sin dudar. Su familia lo era todo para él.
