Earl Wayne Parsons, III, age 55, passed away from terminal brain cancer, peacefully with his eyes closed and his heart open in Greenville, Texas on November 16, 2022.
He was a loving son, father, brother, and grandfather. He was the only son born November 7, 1967, in Odessa, Texas to Earl Wayne Parsons II and Phillis Barnes Parsons.
Earl had a fantastic life growing up in such places as Odessa, Graham, and Abilene, Texas. He was also lucky enough to live in Quito, Ecuador, Bogota, Colombia, and Norwich, England. His last residences were Greenville and Aledo, Texas.
He graduated from Cooper High School in Abilene, Texas. Earl followed his father’s career path and spent most of his life working in the oil business, first as a roughneck, then as a driller.
He was a loving father to his three children, who survive him, Savanna Beth Parsons, of Plano, Courtney Raquel Burden, of Greenville, and Jacob Elijah Parsons of Dallas.
Earl’s antics and comical attitude were legendary and those who knew him had their own stories to tell. He said what he meant and meant what he said. Known as "Tooter" to his family, nicknamed by his grandfather, Earl Wayne Parsons I, he was always there to make you smile or laugh! He leaves a massive hole in the hearts of his family and friends who were constantly entertained by his stories and hilarious humor. Earl truly brought life to the party.
He fought a tremendous battle against cancer the last two years of his life. The doctors told him that only through a miracle, would he live 3 months, on a hallelujah day he might make it 6 months. He was ready to go home to his Lord and Savior and made every minute count.
He was predeceased by his father, Earl Wayne Parsons II; and survived by his children; grandchildren; mother, Phillis Barnes Parsons of McKinney; sisters, Traci Parsons of Aledo, Texas, Lorrie & Dave Galliher of Livingston, Texas, and Peggy Parsons of McKinney, Texas.

His physical body of this world may have failed but his spirit was stubbornly strong:
When peace, like a river attendeth my way
When sorrow like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.
