E.L. Blackstock

E.L. Blackstock of Plano, Texas went to be with the Lord October 26, 2011 at age 79. He was born February 12, 1932 to Elton Lee and Ada (Collins) Blackstock in Weinert, Texas. E.L. served as a private in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married Frances Jones on December 27, 1952 in Dallas, Texas. He was a Captain and Firefighter for the City of Plano Fire Department. E.L. was a member of First Assembly of God in Lavon, Texas. E.L. is survived by his sons, Robert Blackstock and wife Pam of Nevada, Texas, Ken Blackstock and wife Laura of Nevada, Texas; daughter, Peggy Jarrard and husband Billy of Nevada, Texas; grandchildren, Bo, Tina, Julia, Catherine, Brooke, Chris, Danessa, Stephanie; great grandchildren, Cole, Briget, Natasha, Aaron, John, Dylan, Nate, and Jacee; brother, Charles Ray Blackstock of Celeste, Texas and a host of other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Frances Jones Blackstock; parents, Elton and Ada Blackstock; brother, Don Blackstock and sister, Jessie Lee Bell. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 29, 2011 at First Assembly of God in Lavon, Texas. Interment to immediately follow at Plano Mutual Cemetery in Plano, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening beginning at 7:00 pm at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
