Mr. Dwayne Howell, age 77, of McKinney, Texas passed away November 8, 2005, in McKinney. He was born January 1, 1928, in Weston, Texas to J. Lee Howell and Ina E. (Hamilton) Howell. On July 24, 1948, he married Naomi (Cissy) Moore in Rockwall, Texas. Dwayne was an owner and the president of Howell’s Homefurnishings in McKinney. He was a faithful member of the McKinney Rotary Club, which he joined in April 1962 and served as president from 1971-1972. He was also a Paul Harris Fellow. He was a past president of the Jaycee’s and served on the Board of Avenues Counseling Center. Additionally, Dwayne served on the McKinney City Council, and the Planning and Zoning Commission. He was past president of the Downtown Merchants Association and The Chamber of Commerce in McKinney, as well as various furniture organizations. He is survived by his wife, Naomi (Cissy) Howell; daughter, Debbie Reeder and husband, Keith; sons, Stephen Howell and Jeffrey Howell and wife, Tomorrow all of McKinney; 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; and brother, Laud E. Howell also of McKinney. His parents preceded him in death. A memorial celebration will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 13, 2005, at the Heard Craig Auditorium in McKinney (Northeast corner of Church and Hunt Street).
