Dwain R. Mann of Murphy, Texas passed away on March 7, 2020, at the age of 84. He was born June 3, 1935 to Ora Edmond Mann and Mabel Charity Henry in Shelbyville, Indiana. Dwain married Alice McClure on January 18, 1961 in Kentucky. He attended University of Evansville in Indiana where he received his bachelor degree. Dwain joined the United States Army after graduating college. After working many years he became the Vice President of Corporate Purchasing and Office Services for the Associates Corporation of North America. Dwain loved to watch sports; especially the Notre Dame Fighting Irish play football, the Dallas Mavericks play basketball and the Texas Rangers play baseball. He also enjoyed watching the horse races and when he had the time, bowling with his friends and family. Dwain’s family was the biggest part of his life and he loved getting to take them on road trips, whether it be to his favorite restaurants around town or on family vacations. He also had a passion for animals, both cats and dogs.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Alice Mann of Murphy, Texas; children, Sheri Mackey and husband, Michael of Allen, Texas, Toni Friedman of Murphy, Texas, Rick Mann and wife, Cindy of Plano, Texas, Rob Mann and wife Amy of St. Cloud, Minnesota, Shawn Mann and wife, Kristin of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, J’Anna Mann and David Arnold of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Mason, Lauren and husband, Owen, Meagan and husband, Mike, Jamye, Kimberly and fiancé, Bryant, Joseph and wife, Huyen, Anabel, Robbie and Claire; great grandchildren, Lincoln, Grace, Broc, Graham, Kain; and a host of other loving family members, friends and pets.

Dwain was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Meredith Mann, Edmond Mann, Jackie Mann and Carmen Jones; great grandchildren, Jeremiah and Corbin Boisseau.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 20, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Dwain and Alice’s house. For additional information, please call Tony Friedman at 469-690-8880.
