Dr. Daniel Hamm, age 46, passed away on May 21, 2024, in Frisco, Texas. He was born on December 31, 1977, to Kathy Jo (Marable) and Brent Vernon Hamm in Clarksville, Tennessee. Growing up as part of a military family, he attended elementary schools in Columbus GA; Fort Lewis WA; and Leesville LA. He attended junior high in Fort Smith AR, and subsequently graduated from Heights High School in Wichita KS. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). He was also selected and taught as a UNLV instructor in Singapore. After working in hotel management, he decided to go into a whole separate career field, and made up his mind to first qualify and then to graduate from medical school, without any prior medical training at the university level. He was accepted and subsequently graduated from Western University College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona CA. He completed his residency at Clarion Hospital, Clarion PA. As a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, he worked in family medicine while living in Scottsdale AZ; and after moving to Frisco, working as an assistant professor, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth. Dan deeply cherished and loved all of his family and friends all over the country. He will always be remembered for his lifelong personal perseverance, commitment and loyalty to family and friends, and particularly for his tireless desire and concern to help others as a medical professional.
Daniel is survived by his daughter, Katherine Elizabeth Hamm of Little Elm, Texas; his parents, Brent and Kathy Hamm of Frisco, Texas; his brother, Garrett Hamm of Kansas City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph T. Marable of Clarksville Tennessee; and his other grandparents, Dr. H. Dale and F. Elaine Hamm, of Herington Kansas.
A Memorial Service will be held at Church of Christ at Trenton Crossing, 2650 Trenton Rd, Clarksville, Tennessee 37040, on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 1:00 PM.
