Dr. (Mrs.) Joan Asemota of Allen, Texas passed away on June 17, 2019 at the age of 52. She was born to Alex Aibangbee and Esther Ajayi. Dr. Joan was born and raised in Nigeria and attended New Era and Boas College in Benin City. She moved to the USA with her husband Engr. Charles Asemota. Dr. Joan attended AIU where she majored in Finance. She also obtained her MBA in Finance and her Doctorate from the University of California in Health Care Management. She found happiness being a Financial Management Professional for many years. Joan was a beautiful loving wife and mother. Her hobbies included active community service. She loved to travel and was a fabulous fashion icon, a role model and a great dancer. Joan used every opportunity to volunteer in order to help anyone that she came in contact with.
Dr. Joan is survived by her loving husband of over 30 years, Engr. Charles Asemota, her children; daughter, Princess Nicole Asemota, and sons, Kevin Asemota and Michael Asemota. She is also survived by her brothers, Lucky, Tunde and sisters, Erica and Ayo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Osaro.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. A celebration of life and service of songs will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday evening at The Redeemed Christian Church of God, 3800 E. Parker Road, Plano, Texas 75074.
