Doyle Foster Goodspeed, Jr.

Doyle Foster Goodspeed, Jr. of Mesquite, Texas, passed away on January 10, 2023 at the age of 94. He was born on September 29, 1928 to Doyle Foster and Mary Ann (Bayne) Goodspeed in Thrift, Texas.

Doyle married the love of his life, Juiquitta Wynell McCormic, on September 21, 1950 in Dallas, Texas. Together they built a legacy of love for the Lord’s Church, each other, the children born to them, and to all people.

Doyle was a minister of the Church of Christ for 56 years. He continued his ministry to the Lord, on this earth, until his death. He enjoyed sharing his love for the Lord through building relationships, art, and writing.

He is survived by his wife, Juiquitta Goodspeed of Mesquite, Texas; daughters, Mary Walling and husband, Wayne of Iowa City, Iowa; Wynelle Sexton and husband, Dan of Bells, Texas; Barbara Mankin and husband, Steve of Carrollton, Texas; Susan Goodspeed of Katy Texas; Lisa Noey of DeSoto, Texas; and son, Micah Goodspeed and wife, Stormi of Norman, Oklahoma; 22 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Houston and Anita Goodspeed of Dallas, Texas; brother, Henry Goodspeed of Little Rock, Arkansas; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Dan Wright of Sanger, Texas; and a host of loving family and friends.

Doyle was preceded in death by his parents; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Floye Goodspeed; sister Ann Long; sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Bobby Rogers; sister Laduska Goodspeed; granddaughter Sydney Wells; grandson, Daniel Sexton, and great granddaughter Samantha Cronquist.

A service to celebrate his life and homegoing will begin at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Beckley Heights Church of Christ, 6510 South RL Thornton Fwy, Dallas, Texas. Visitation will be at 9:00 am. Following the service there will be a procession to Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Climax, Texas for interment.
