Douglas Ray Norcross

Douglas Ray Norcross, age 86, of Frisco, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022.  He was born in Hearne, Texas, on May 19, 1936, to Hallie V. (Belcher) and John Wilfred Norcross.  Doug proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He attended Texas A & M University and had a successful career in the financial industry as a computer programmer.  He was very devoted to his church where he served as a Priest for many years. Doug married the love of his life, Sara Ann Whited, in Dayton, Ohio on July 6, 1963, and they were blessed with three daughters.  He was a wonderful husband, son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend to many.  Doug was his happiest when spending time with his family and friends. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

Doug is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Sara Norcross; his daughters, Melanie Gray and her husband, John, Debra Holder and her husband, Jeff, and Julie Harville and her husband, Justin; his grandchildren, Zakary White (Sarah), Madison Smith (Greg), Claire Motley (Josch), Anna Holder (Curtis), Courtney Gray, Taylor White, Gigi Gray, James Harville, Erika Harville, and William Harville; his great-grandchildren, Colton Jakubovic and Kinsley White; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Allen Norcross, his sisters, Marjorie Patke and Amy Koehler, and his son-in-law, Jeffrey White.

A memorial service will be held at First Frisco United Methodist Church, South Chapel, 7659 Preston Road, Frisco, Texas, on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.  The family invites you to a lunch/reception following the service.

A private family interment will be held at DFW National Cemetery.
