Douglas James Poirier was born in Dallas, Texas on February 8, 1986, and passed away on April 3, 2010. A tragic accident claimed his life, but he's spending Easter in Heaven with Jesus. He attended Coppell High School and Hope Fellowship church in Frisco, Texas. Although Doug had some struggles, he recently rededicated his life to Christ and began making positive changes. Douglas is survived by his parents, John and Terisa Poirier and brother, Bryce; grandparents John and Janis Poirier and Dick and Georgia Loy; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as many extended family and friends. The family wishes to express deep appreciation to the nurses and staff at D.R.M.C. for their compassion and kindness during this time. Visitation will be at Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home in Frisco, Texas, on Tuesday, April 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be held at Hope Fellowship Church in Frisco, Texas, on Wednesday, April 7, at 10 a.m. The family requests memorial contributions to be made to the SPCA or to the Hope Fellowship Church Building Fund.
