I remember Doug from Jackson Jr. High, back in the 70's. He was a good guy. I was saddened to find this obituary. He was far too young... Rest in Peace Doug, Jim Adams, July 5, 2014 I was saddened to learn that Doug had passed away. I often accompanied my lady friend Valerie to her son Phillip's football practices at Ford Middle School. We'd shoot the bull with Doug while Phillip and Hunter practiced. Doug was always kind and friendly to us and quite entertaining. Brenda, you were always nice to us as well. Our thoughts are with you & Hunter and Nick. Jayne Anne Skinner, May 11, 2012 THAT LAUGH, WHAT AN INFECTIOUS LAUGH. THE FIRST TIME I WAS EXPOSED TO IT I WAS CONCERNED FOR DOUG. THE TOP OF HIS HEAD WOULD TURN RED, HE COULDN'T BREATH, AND ALL YOU HEARED WAS THIS CRAZY HIGH PITCHED SQUEAL. THEN THE UNEXPLAINABLE WOULD HAPPEN, YOU WOULD FIND YOURSELF LAUGHING UNCONTROLLABLY- BUT YOU DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHY. MOST OF THE TIME DOUG WAS ON THE PHONE SO YOU COULDN'T HEAR THE CALLER OR UNDERSTAND DOUG THROUGH HIS LAUGHTER. WE CAME TO LOOK FORWARD TO DOUG'S "GOING OFF" AND "THERE HE GOES AGAIN" MOMENTS. THEY BECAME THE GEMS OF THE DAY AND THEY WERE PRICELESS. YOU JUST LAUGHED BECAUSE DOUG LAUGHED. WE WILL ALL MISS OUR FREIND DOUG. I THANK GOD FOR SHARING HIM WITH US AND I THANK GOD I EVER HEARD AND SHARED THAT LAUGH. RALPH TROUP, May 11, 2012 Rest peace brother You will be missed greatly and I am better to had you in my life.
