Doug Porterfield, age 76, of Fairview, Texas, passed away January 30, 2010, in McKinney, Texas. Doug was born October 26, 1933, in Wilson, Oklahoma, to Charles Woodson and Eva (Knutson) Porterfield. He married Mary Stephenson on August 15, 1953 in Gainesville, Texas. Doug was a pharmacist for many years. He was a past president of Dallas County Pharmaceutical Association as well as a past board member of the Texas State Pharmaceutical Association. He is survived by his wife, Mary Porterfield of Fairview, Texas; sons, Randy Porterfield of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Kelly Porterfield of Allen, Texas; daughter, Debbie Schwartz and husband, Robert of Dallas, Texas; granddaughter, Shelley Robertson Brown and husband, Nathan of Dallas, Texas; and sister, Gayle Brothers and husband, Don of Paducah, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Charles Porterfield and Denzil Porterfield.
