Dottell-Jane Mentzer Rinier was born September 25, 1939 in New York, New York to Walter George Mentzer and Kathryn Eleanor Hill Mentzer. She passed away on April 4, 2021 at Texoma Medical Center, Denison, Texas at the age of 81 years.

DJ married James Andrew Rinier on December 7, 1963 in Yonkers, New York. She was a member of the Busy Bee Quilting Group in Whitewright. She was a long time faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints in Sherman, Texas.

She is survived by her husband, James Andrew Rinier of Tom Bean; son, Matthew George Rinier (Julie) of Lewisville; special-son, David Clark of Lake Dallas; brother, Walter Jonathon Mentzer of Bedford; sisters, Patricia-Lynn Saldamarco of Durham, New York, and Kathryn-Marilyn Ash of Grand Prairie. She is preceded by her parents; and sister, Sharon-Lynn Mentzer.

Funeral Services will be held 11AM Friday, April 9, 2021 at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints in Sherman, Texas. Bishop Roger Luttrell will officiate. Interment will follow at Vittitoe Cemetery, Whitewright, Texas. Viewing will be held from 10AM to 11AM Friday at the church.

Sheri Smith, April 9, 2021 I met D J at Lewisville Durham Bus Barn. She was always so sweet and loved to laugh. She loved her job of Driving the "Special Ed" bus. Later, our paths crossed again in Mckinney, Texas at that Durham Bus Barn. D J and I always had something to talk about. I know she loved sewing and crocheting. I will sure miss D J, but I know through the years, she has had some Health problems and I know she is with God and Pain Free. I know she loved Andy and tryed to take care of him, the best she could.
