Dorothy Mae Carr of Irving, Texas passed away on May 23, 2020 at the age of 86. She was born April 4, 1934 to William and Amanda (Marxer) Janson in Millstadt, Illinois. She grew up in Millstadt, Illinois and graduated from the Academy of Notre Dame in Bellville, Illinois in 1952. She married George Frederick Carr on May 10, 1958 in Millstadt, Illinois. Dorothy was a dedicated mother and wife and she was also a great listener. She was a devout Catholic and was very active in the parishes where her family lived through the years.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, George Carr of Irving, Texas; children, George Carr and wife, Ana of Jefferson City, Missouri, Ronald Carr and wife, Laura of Odessa, Texas, Robert Carr of Orlando, Florida, Kevin Carr of Orange County, California and Kathleen Carr of Irving, Texas; grandchildren, George Patrick Carr and wife, Grayson, Diane Carr, Christine Carr, Matthew Carr, Chad Carr, Ryan Carr, Ena Carr; sister, Betty Honigfort of St. Louis, Missouri; several nieces and nephews and a host of other loving family and friends.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marianne Fenzl and brother, William “Bill” Janson.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 25, 2020, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas.
