During her long life, she and Cliff traveled throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Japan, New Zealand, Australia and South Africa. Both she and Cliff instilled a love of reading, learning and music in their sons. In Mississippi she was very active with the Hospital Auxiliary. While living in Allen she enjoyed socializing with her friends, Wii bowling, cards, and knitting cold weather caps for needy children in the Dallas area schools. She continued to travel with friends. Dorothy was a dedicated member of the choir of Christ the Servant Lutheran Church in Allen.

The family would like to express their thanks and love for all of her friends at church who have watched over her and helped her over the the years. She was truly grateful for all of your fellowship and support. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Christ the Servant Church of Allen, TX in her memory.
