Dorothy Jean Walker

Dorothy Jean Walker of McKinney, Texas passed away on October 21, 2020 at the age of 76. She was born on April 13, 1944 to William and Bessie Walker in Plainview, Texas.  

Dorothy worked at Affiliated Foods, Inc. in Amarillo, Texas for 20 years before moving to McKinney, Texas where she worked for Health Integrity until her retirement in 2015.  

She is survived by her daughter, Becky Gibbs and husband, Scott of Lucas, Texas; nieces, Stacy Chacon and husband, Gene of Bonham, Texas, Darla Shirk and husband, David of Lancaster, Texas, Angela Myers and husband Bobby of Galva, Kansas, and Jerry Walker Jr. of Amarillo,  Texas; great-nieces, Kesly Walker and husband, Joey of Bonham, Texas, and Kindra White and husband, Riley of Amarillo, Texas; great-nephews, Shanon Abbott and wife, Tina of Carrollton, Texas, Shawn Abbott of Farmers Branch, Texas, and Toby Smith of Amarillo, Texas; great-great-nephews, Jordan and Jace Abbott; great-great-nieces, Raina and Carly Abbott; Terri Monk and husband, Tommy, Katlin and Avery Monk, Gary Fuller and wife, Margie, Brian Wagoner and wife, Dlesa and Patricia Byinton from Amarillo, Texas; and numerous other loving family and friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, William and Bessie Walker; sisters, Beverly Key and Sue Smith; and brothers, Jerry Walker and Harold Walker.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 25, 2020, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location.

In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only a limited number of guests will be allowed to attend the Funeral Service.

However, when the maximum number of guests are reached, those who would like to honor Dorothy and show their support to her family may remain at the funeral home in your vehicle, where you can watch the live streamed service on your personal device (laptop, tablet or smartphone) or listen through a designated FM radio channel.

A “come and go” visitation will be held on Saturday afternoon, October 24, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.
