Dorothy Faye Foster, age 86, of McKinney, Texas, passed away May 10, 2010. She was born February 7, 1924 in Kinser, Texas to Walter R. Davenport and Margaret (Jeffcoat) Davenport. On August 1, 1939 she married Paul Foster in Farmersville, Texas. Dorothy graduated from Copeville High School where she played basketball. Dorothy was a member of the Eastern Star. She worked for 20 years at the Cotton Mill in McKinney, Texas. She also worked for Texas Instruments/Raytheon where she retired. Dorothy was a member of Waddill Street Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Paul Foster of McKinney, Texas; sons, Frank Foster and wife, Margaret of Possum Kingdom Lake, Texas, Ronnie D. Foster and wife, Trina of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Paulette Maffioli of McKinney, Texas; fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; sister, Jan Umphrey of Denison, Texas and numerous other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Margaret Davenport; sons, Donnie Joe Foster and John Paul Foster; grandson, Paul Eugene Foster; eleven brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 13, 2010 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Woody Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
