Dorothy Jean Edmondson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on January 28, 2025, in McKinney, Texas, at the age of 91. Dorothy was born on September 12, 1933, in Goodlett, Texas, to Olen Callan and Jewell (Wrinkle) Callan.

A proud graduate of Denton High School, Dorothy went on to marry the love of her life, and the two shared a wonderful life together. They were united in marriage on October 8, 1954, and their bond lasted for many years, filled with love, laughter, and memories.

Dorothy was a woman who cherished her family deeply, and there was nothing she enjoyed more than spending time with her grandkids and loved ones. Her warmth and affection touched the lives of all who knew her. 

Dorothy’s kindness, generosity, and sense of humor will be dearly missed. She was the heart of her family and a true example of grace and love.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Betty Helm and husband, John; son, Larry Edmondson and wife, Cara; son-in-law, Tod Douglas; grandson, Hunter Helm and wife, Marissa; grandson, John Travis Helm; granddaughter, Alexandra Seaton and husband, Nathan; grandson, Sean Edmondson and wife, Maddie; granddaughter, Taylor Edmondson; grandson, Blake Douglas and wife, Lauren; granddaughter, Kelly Douglas; great granddaughter, Savannah Helm, great granddaughter, Damaris Seaton; great grandson, Cooper Edmondson; great grandson, Luke Edmondson; great grandson, Graham Douglas; great grandson, Griffin Douglas.

She was preceded in death by her parents Olen and Jewell Callan; husband, Bennie Ray Edmondson; and daughter, Teresa Ann Douglas.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211
