Dorothy Bohot of McKinney, Texas passed away February 14, 2016 at the age 84. She was born September 2, 1931 to John Hoefer and Alma Johanna (Oppermann) Hoefer in Olenburg, Texas. Dorothy married Clifford Harold Bohot on June 12, 1949 in LaGrange, Texas. She worked for Plano ISD for twenty-two years as a food service manager. Dorothy was of the Lutheran Faith.
She is survived by her sons, Larry Harold Bohot of McKinney and Daryl Wayne Bohot and wife Linda of LaGrange, Texas; daughters, Linda Kay Brandon and husband Don of Moody, Texas and Debra Lynn Castleberry and husband Gary of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Krista Garza and husband Mike of McKinney, Texas, Jennifer Morrill of Houston, Texas, Katie Bohot of Dallas, Texas, Amy Hapes and husband J.R. of Prosper, Texas, Tara Brandon of Moody, Texas, Casey Steakley and husband Travis of LaGrange, Texas, Tanner Castleberry and wife Holly of Sherman, Texas, and Kim Patterson and husband Josh of Fort Worth, Texas; great –grandchildren, Landon Edwards, Connor Garza, Noah Garza, Ben Garza, Cameron Hapes, Marilyn Steakley, Brianna Steakley, Danica Steakley and Jett Patterson.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford “Bo” Bohot, grandson, Travis Bohot, and brother, Ralph Hoefer.
The family will receive friends during a visitation Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Koenig and Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, 208 West Pearl Street, LaGrange, Texas 78945 with a visitation two hours prior the service.
