Dorotha Scott, age 89, of McKinney, Texas, passed away October 12, 2016. Dorotha was born December 31, 1926, in McKinney, to Walter Lee and Delilah (Rhene) Shain. She was employed with Haggar Slacks in McKinney for more than twenty years. Dorotha also owned and operated Mom’s Café for twenty years.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Cavender and husband, Lynn of Van Alstyne, Texas and Gay Nell Reno and husband, “Peanut” of Prosper, Texas; grandchildren, Misty Beaty and husband, Shawn and Rodney Wilson and wife, Lori, all of Van Alstyne, Wendy Reno and Randall Reno, both of Prosper, Texas, and Scott Reno and wife, Kacey of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Zack Beaty, Coby Wilson and wife, Amber, Justin Wilson, Chase Wilson, William Wilson, Christopher Reno, Rylan Reno, and Reece Reno; great-great-grandchildren, Kylie and Camden; and brother, Jack Shain and wife, Betty, of New Hope, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Friday, October 14, 2016, to pay their respects or to sign the register book.
