Doris Pierce Harbor of McKinney, Texas passed away on February 23, 2021 at the age of 89. She was born December 5, 1931 to Sid and Myrtle (Brewer) Pierce in New Boston, Texas. Doris graduated from New Boston High School in 1945. She married Vance Lenox Harbor on April 24, 1954 in New Boston, Texas. Doris was a loving wife and mother, spending most of her life as a homemaker taking care of her family. During the residence in Wichita Falls, she worked as Director of Internationals at First Baptist Church, Wichita Falls and also as an Activity Director at Presbyterian Manor, a retirement community. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in McKinney, Texas and served with their caregiver ministry.

Doris is survived by her sons, Van Harbor and wife, Sheralyn of Belize, Hal Harbor and wife, Beth of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Catie Harbor of Kansas City, Missouri, Chris Harbor of Wylie, Texas, Lindsey Smith and husband, Bragg of Dallas, Texas, Ashley Harbor of Dallas, Texas, Conner Harbor of Denver, Colorado, Josh Harbor and wife, Jessi of Allen, Texas; great-grandchildren, Hannah Harbor, Davi Harbor, Harbor Smith and Quinn Smith; brother, Ray Pierce and wife, Gloria Jo of Rancho Bernardo, California; and a host of other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vance Lenox Harbor; siblings, James Pierce, Winston Pierce and Evelyn Wheeler.

A “come and go” visitation will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 26, 2021, at First McKinney Church, 1615 West Louisiana Street, McKinney, Texas 75069.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, February 26, 2021 at Ringwood Cemetery in New Boston, Texas.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Missions Ministry at First McKinney Church.
