Doris L. (Danner) Gidney of McKinney, Texas passed away on April 4, 2022 at the age of 87. She was born on December 17, 1934 to Andrew Anthony Danner and Virgie Marguerita (Grove) Danner in Brunswick, Maryland. Doris graduated from Southern High School in Baltimore, Maryland. She married Norman Edward Gidney on August 24, 1954 in Frisco, Texas. Doris was a seamstress. She was a member of the Melissa Christian Church in Melissa, Texas.
Doris is survived by her husband, Norman Edward Gidney of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Debbie Rutledge and husband, Garry of Grove, Oklahoma; son, Mike Gidney of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Michelle Pearson and husband, Steve, Clint Rutledge and wife, Angela, Brandy Davis and husband, Brandon, Brook Solis and husband, Adam, Bethany McMinn and husband, Tyler; great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Cole, Easton, Casen, Karsyn, Rylan and Chandler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Anthony and Virgie Marguerita Danner; sisters, Catherine McGaha and Viola Knight; brother, Melvin Danner.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, April 8, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
