Doris Irene Van Waes, age 85, of McKinney, Texas, passed away June 2, 2009 in McKinney. Doris was born February 5, 1924 in Kellogg, Iowa. She was a waitress and bartender for many years. Doris enjoyed playing Gin Rummy and Bingo. She is survived by her children, Bob Blandin of McKinney, Texas, Terrence Blandin of Michigan City, Indiana, and Joyce Harkness of Danville, Georgia; five grandchildren, Geoff Blandin of DeWitt, Iowa, James Harkness of Lyle, Illinois, John Harkness of Cincinnati, Ohio, Travis Blandin of McKinney, Texas, and Nicole Foreman of Leander, Texas; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Carrol Kent of Agency, Iowa; and numerous other loving relatives and friends.
