Doris Nell Crim Davis

Doris Nell Crim Davis of Dallas, Texas passed away July 23, 2016, at the age of 91.  She was born July 13, 1925, to David Frank Crim and Eunice Aline (Martin) Crim in Bloomdale, Texas.  Her ancestors were some of the first to settle in this area and were a part of the Peters Colony Group. Doris was a 1942 graduate of McKinney High School.  She was a hospital volunteer at RHD Memorial Medical Center, Garland Memorial Hospital, and Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas.  Doris was a longtime member of Webb Chapel United Methodist Church in Farmers Branch, Texas.  She was very interested in politics.  Doris loved the outdoors and her fishing adventures in Colorado.

She is survived by daughters, JoAnne Scott and husband Richard of Addison, Texas, Jackie Holmes of Hewitt, Texas, and Joyce Mormile and husband Steve of Wylie, Texas; siblings, Frankie Lynn Brown of Yantis, Texas, Jere Crim and wife Esther of Frisco, Texas, Jim Crim and wife Barbara of Amarillo, Texas, and Patricia Mahand and husband Jack of College Station, Texas; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Claud Henry Davis, sister, Janis Sterling, and her parents.

A memorial service will be  held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.  An inurnment will be held at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas at a later date.
