Doris Jean Fraley, age 83, of Celina, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2024. Doris was born February 22, 1941, in Sweetwater, Tennessee, to Charles Boyd and Hazel Virginia (Young) Plemons. She married Louie David Fraley on her 17th birthday on February 22, 1958, on the steps of their church.
Doris treasured her family. She is survived by her children, David Mark Fraley of Celina, Texas, Roger Joseph Fraley of McKinney, Texas, Larry Daniel Fraley and wife, Kim of Prosper, Texas, Robin Andrew Fraley of Josephine, Texas, and Tammy Rebecca Allen and husband, Keith of Sachse, Texas; fourteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sisters in Tennessee, Phyllis Silvey and husband Jimmy and Linda Arden and husband Bob.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and husband.
Doris was a very devoted member of Bethel Baptist Church singing in the church choir and attending Sunday School, Bible Studies, and assisting with Vacation Bible School. She was a strong Christian woman who cherished her faith and shared it with others.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 6, 2024, at Bethel Baptist Church, 8382 CR 128, Celina, Texas 75009. Interment will follow at Ridgeview West Memorial Park, 7800 Sanctuary Dr., Frisco, Texas 75033. The family will receive friends at a visitation one hour prior to the service at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 6, 2024, at the church.
