Doris Elaine Dickerson Berry, age 71, of Celina, TX passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in Sherman, TX on June 5, 2023. Doris was born July 5, 1951, in McKinney, TX to Carson Bailey and Velma Bea Miller Dickerson. She married the love of her life, Timothy Earl Berry in Celina, TX on May 29, 1971. She was raised in Weston, TX, and later moved to Celina, TX during her youth.

She began her extensive career in the legal field as a secretary at the Collin County District Attorney’s office. While working full time and raising her three young boys, she received her bachelor’s degree at Texas Woman's University in 1984, then attended law school at Southern Methodist University and received her Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 1988. Doris then worked as an Assistant District Attorney until her retirement and later moved into her own private practice where she was a Defense Attorney and represented CPS children. Doris eventually became a Municipal Judge in Frisco, TX in 2019 and continued working in the legal field until her passing.

Doris was always doing something and apart from working, she enjoyed painting, sewing, crafting, cooking, gardening, reading, spending time with her grandkids, and loving her family. Doris had an incredible strength and taught it to each of her family members. She made the ones around her better and there never was a dull moment with her.
