It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Doreen Allison Villalon, who left us far too soon on August 12, 2025, at the age of 13. Doreen was her given name although she also loved going by her foster care name of Melina.


She was born in New Amsterdam, Guyana on September 30, 2011. While in Guyana, she experienced a lifetime of trauma from having her natural born parents die to being raised in foster care and witnessing the strains of life in a third world country. Despite the challenges she experienced as a small child, she lit up every room she entered with her vibrant energy, infectious smile, and boundless creativity.


Doreen was a student at Jones Middle School in Prosper, Texas. She was known for her warm smile, caring heart, and her love of friends. A mainstay in the world of social media, Doreen found joy and expression in TikTok and Instagram influencing, where she shared her creativity and love of God with an ever-growing audience. She was a member at Prestonwood North Baptist Church and is now in the hands of Jesus.


She had a passion for traveling, always eager to explore new places and embrace new experiences. Her love for music brought rhythm and joy to her days, often filling her home and heart with dance and laughter.


Doreen’s time with us, though brief, was filled with love, inspiration, and unforgettable memories. She was such a lovable person and those who knew her best will forever be able to see her in their thoughts because she always gave of herself.


She is survived by her adopted parents, Jim and Doreen Villalon of Celina, Texas; sister, Alexandra Villalon of Celina, Texas; aunt, Sueann Pestano of Boynton Beach, Florida; aunt, Allison Pestano of Coconut Creek, Florida; uncle, John Pestano and wife, Robin of Indian Land, South Carolina; and a host of other loving family and friends.


She was preceded in death by her natural parents Sean Pestano and Anesha Persaud.


A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Prestonwood Baptist Church - North Campus, 1001 West Prosper Trail, Prosper, Texas 75078.


A visitation will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at the church
