Dora Murphy, age 82, of Westminster, Texas, passed away January 23, 2018. Dora was born July 13, 1935, in Weston, Texas, to Wilson Benjamin and Zetta Geraldine (Kelton) Taylor. She married Robert Andrew Murphy on October 20, 1951, in McKinney, Texas.
She is survived by her daughters, Zetta Dockray and husband, Doc of Anna, Texas, Debbie Taylor of McKinney, and Mae Lynn Murphy, also of McKinney; son, Shane Murphy and wife, Shannon of Princeton, Texas; grandchildren, Jeremy, Josh, Jennifer, Amanda, Tiffaney, Angela, Todd, Bethany, Cody, and Holly; great-grandchildren Dylan, Zane, Stella, James, Ivy, Turner, Emmye, and Mylan; brothers, Tommy Taylor of Westminster, Texas, Sammy Taylor of Canton, Texas, and Mike Taylor and wife, Gail of Sherman, Texas; and sister, Dorothy Pior and husband, Grady of Westminster.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Murphy, son, Robert Murphy, II, brothers, Pat Taylor and Randy Taylor, and sisters, Mary Ortega and Teddie June Clay.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 28, 2018, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Cottage Hill Cemetery in Celina, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Saturday evening at the funeral home.
