Donna Rae (Boyd) Walker of Plano, Texas passed away on March 5, 2018 at the age of 85. She was born on May 10, 1932 to Robert Ben and Gladys Pauline (Hoover) Boyd in Maud, Oklahoma. Donna’s first job was working at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City in a top security area. She moved to Baytown, Texas and married Doug Walker on January 1, 1953. Donna raised her three children while she partnered with her husband, Doug in his tax preparation business for over 40 years. She became very active in the Baytown community and joined Pilot Club International where she was a Patriotism area leader, Past President of the Baytown Pilot Club, Past Governor of the Texas District Pilot Clubs and various other Texas District positions.
Donna is survived by her daughter, LaRisa Walker Briles of Dallas, Texas; son, Mark Douglas Walker and wife, Abby, of Burleson, Texas; grandchildren, Micheal Douglas Briles and wife, Andrea, Lauren Briles Ranen and husband, Rick, Aaron Martin, Clara Martin, Cameron Martin, Reid Douglas Walker and wife, Paige, Andrea Walker Trice and husband, Bryan and Robert Walker; great-grandchildren, Lydia Briles, Colt Douglas Briles, Wesley Ranen, Vivienne Ranen and Colette Ranen; sister Faye Boyd Horner of Houston, Texas; and numerous other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doug Walker; her daughter, Ronna Walker Martin; and six siblings.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., March 13, 2018 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. Interment will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Monday evening, March 12, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
