Donald Philip Kusterbeck

Donald Philip Kusterbeck of McKinney, Texas passed away due to complications from COVID-19 on December 23, 2020 at the age of 72. He was born on May 15, 1948 to Joseph Kusterbeck and Dorothy (Considine) Kusterbeck in Brooklyn, New York. Donald graduated East New York Vocational High School. He attended school at Queens College for a couple of years prior to being drafted by the United States Army. Donald served for almost two years while being stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War. He married Susan (Browne) Kusterbeck on September 8, 1973 in Richmond Hill, New York. Donald graduated with his associate’s degree from Queens College after his return from Korea. He worked for Permag for 33 years, moving from New York to Georgia and eventually settling in North Texas prior to his retirement.

Donald is survived by his wife, Susan Kusterbeck of McKinney, Texas; children, Edward Kusterbeck, Lori Balderrama and husband, Mauricio, John Kusterbeck and wife, Brandy; ten grandchildren; siblings, Arthur Kusterbeck and wife, Angela, Dorothy Lampasona and husband, Joe, Gerard Kusterbeck and wife, Arlene, Patricia Steinberg and husband, Richard; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Joseph Kusterbeck, II.

A “come and go” visitation will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2020, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.

In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only a limited number of guests will be allowed to attend the Funeral Service.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., December 30, 2020, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.

The service will also be live streamed at TJMfuneral.com on Donald’s obituary page by clicking on the following link: Celebrationoflife.tv. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location.

However, when the maximum number of guests are reached, those who would like to honor Donald and show their support to his family may remain at the funeral home in your vehicle, where you can watch the live streamed service on your personal device (laptop, tablet or smartphone) or listen through a designated FM radio channel.

Following the funeral service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service where all are invited to attend the committal service maintaining social distancing or you may remain in your vehicle. You will be able to listen to the service through speakers set up at the gravesite.
