IN LOVING MEMORY

Donald "Don" Edward Williams III

Aug 09 1959 - Mar 22 2023

Donald Edward Williams III passed away on March 22, 2023 in Plano, Texas. He was born on August 9, 1959 in El Paso, Texas to Donald Edward Williams, Jr. and Esther S. Simmang.

He grew up all over the world, his father being in the United States Army. Don was a lifetime member of the Order of DeMolay and served one year as Master Counselor in Arizona. He graduated from Bandera High School in 1977. After graduating Don went to the University of Texas at San Antonio for a few years before he joined with JCPenny’s shop and automobile division, soon transferring to the retail management side. He moved to Corpus Christi with his family in 1990 as a manager with JCPenny. After a few years there, Don met his wife Meredith and they have been together ever since. Don and Meredith married in 2001 and then moved to Plano, Texas. After many years with JCPenny, as a retail manager and on the corporate side, Don made his way to Supreme Lending as an IT and Facilities Director until 2020.

As a young man Don did everything from stick and ball sports, to riding bulls and horses in rodeos. Later in life Don found real joy in coaching his Bandits select baseball team with PSA. Don loved his family and spending time with them. They all got to enjoy his delicious culinary skills like BBQ he made for friends and family. Don spent many days fishing on the beach and deep-sea fishing.

Don will be missed by all those he coached, he mentored and especially the ones he loved. Don is survived by his wife, Meredith Rachelle Williams of Plano, Texas; son, Donald Edward Williams IV and wife, Nana of Celina, Texas; daughter, Brittney Michele Williams of Plano, Texas; son, Ashton Ryan Williams and wife, Cash of Carrollton, Texas; son, Brady Daniel Williams of Plano, Texas; grandson, Donald Edward Williams V “Quint” of Celina, Texas; granddaughter, Sophia Grace Williams of Celina, Texas; granddaughter, Willow Rayne Williams of Carrollton, Texas; mom, Esther “Bunny” Williams of Plano, Texas; sister, Donna Williams Miller, MS and husband, Reggie of San Antonio, Texas; his beloved Aussies, Gabby, Layla, and Luna, as well as many other loving family and friends.
