IN LOVING MEMORY

Donald A. Bath

May 25 1937 - May 22 2024

Donald A. Bath, 86, was born May 25, 1937 to George and Elinor (Wessel) Bath in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and passed away on May 22, 2024. After high school, he served in the Air Force in San Angelo, TX, and Elmendorf AFB, Alaska. He worked for General Electric and GE/Ericcson for 30 years in mobile radio sales. This gentle, generous man loved riding his Harley Davidson cross-country with his wife Sandy, setting up model trains, smoking Swisher Sweets, drinking Honey Whiskey, and being with his family. We are forever grateful for his work ethic, no-nonsense advice, and dry sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by two nephews, Donald J. Bath of Hartford, Wisconsin and Scott Bath of West Bend, Wisconsin, as well as his beloved wife, Sandy. For the past twenty years, he has fulfilled his promise to her to take good care of all of the kids. Don was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle. He leaves to celebrate his life three daughters, Suzi (Luis) Yanes, Cheryl (George) Palmer, and Jennifer (Sam) Munsell; brother, Leroy Bath of West Bend, Wisconsin; brother-in-law, Jeffrey (Janice) Boek; ten grandchildren, Rachel (Mike) Malina, George (Jenny) Palmer IV of Denton, Texas, Gabrielle, Amanda, Zachary, Kaitlyn, Luis, Evan, Samuel, and Lilly; four great grandchildren, Jane, John, Nolan, and Remington, as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Spanish saying states, “If it rains the day someone dies, that person goes straight to Heaven.” An astonishing 3.11 inches of rain fell in Plano the afternoon he passed away! We know the angels were ready for him.

Don touched each one of us in unique and profound ways and we are all better people from knowing him.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
