Don Wing of Allen, Texas passed away on March 28, 2024 at the age of 89. He was born on July 2, 1934 to Wendell Cornelius Wing and Vanita Ruth (Caldwell) Wing in Spokane, Washington. Don grew up in Spokane and was a graduate of Roosevelt High School. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. Don was stationed in Alaska before it became part of the United States of America. He earned his Bachelor of Engineering from University of Washington in Seattle, Washington and his law degree from Lewis and Clark School of Law in Portland, Oregan. He started his extensive work career as an engineer and later as an attorney. Don was married to the late Ann Louise Greenwood on February 10, 1961 in Seattle, Washington and they enjoyed 53 years of marriage before her passing in 2015.
He enjoyed traveling and has traveled to all 50 states including Canada and other amazing places. Don loved animals, especially his dogs. Most importantly, Don loved his family and spending time with them. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Don will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by children, Connie Wing of Renton, Washington, Brian Wing of Allen, Texas, Nansi Stretcher and husband Judd of Lucas, Texas; grandchildren, Nash Peplinski, Cole Stretcher and wife, Alice, and Quinn Stretcher; brothers, Douglas Wing and wife, Gleena, and Alan Wing and wife, Darlene; sister, Sally Gerard; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family and friends.
Don was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Wing and parents.
