Donald “Don” Broadhead of Lowry Crossing, Texas, passed away on January 11, 2025, at the age of 73.
Don was born on December 10, 1951, in the small town of Garfield, Utah, to Del Broadhead and Doris (Densley) Broadhead. He was a graduate of University of Southern MS. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Princeton, Texas.
Don had a love for horses and spent many years as a Farrier. Being on his own at an early age he did everything from working the fields to Computer Software engineer. He retired in 2010 after owning his own Transportation company.
Don found his soulmate in Teena (Hickson) Broadhead, whom he married on March 5, 1989, in Sandersville, Mississippi. Their enduring love and partnership were the cornerstone of Don’s life.
He was preceded in death by his parents Del Broadhead and Doris Flood, his brother Mike Broadhead and two sisters, DeAnn McErquiaga and Debbie Rothwell.
He leaves behind his wife, Teena Broadhead of Lowry Crossing, Texas; Four sons, Aron Broadhead and wife Sheila of Parowan, Utah, Jake Broadhead and wife Kim of Grantsville, Utah, Jared Broadhead and wife Merid of Tampa, Florida, Kaleb Broadhead and partner Meghan of Denton, Texas;
Sisters Karen Hepner and husband Nick of West Valley City, Utah, and Mickie Morgan and husband Terry of Acworth, Georgia ; brother-in-law, Poncho McErquiaga of Orvada, Nevada;
Grandchildren Clay, Nicole, Kylee, Dalton, Hayley, Jaycee, Jade, and Grayson; fourteen great-grandchildren; and a host of other numerous loving family and friends.
A celebration of life service will held on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church 1306 N 6th St, Princeton, Texas 75407.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Faith Baptist Church or the Heart Association.
